Can we book our tickets online?
Absolutely, we have an easy and seamless online booking system whereby you can purchase your tickets prior to your sail. Click here to book
Select the date, select day sail or sunset sail. Add our tickets to the cart and checkout. Follow the easy steps to payment and your tickets will be emailed to you. Please bring your tickets on the day for boarding.
How far in advance can we book?
Our online calendar opens up 1 month in advance. Please check the calendar on our website for upcoming availability.
Where is the Mirage located?
We are docked in the V&A Waterfront near to the swing bridge, clocktower side of the Waterfront. Click here to find us on Google
Does the Mirage drop guests off at Robben Eiland/ does it sail towards Robben Island?
Our traditional sail takes us along the coastline towards Mouille Point and back again to the harbour.
How far does the boat sail on the Daysail and Sunset cruise?
Our traditional sail takes us along the coastline towards Mouille Point and back again. The day sails are a 1 hour trip and the sunset sail is 1h30 minutes.
Can we book and pay at the boat?
Yes you can head to our ticket stand situated directly in front of the Mirage and you can book and pay via credit/ debit card to purchase your tickets.
How long before the departure time must we arrive?
Boarding will begin 30 minutes prior to the departure time. Please arrive timeously to allow for boarding.
What happens if we miss the departure time?
Please contact our office on info@miragecatamaran.com and we will offer an alternative date/ time subject to availability and at our discretion.
Can we pay with cash?
The Mirage is a cashless venue, we accept credit/ debit card or Snapscan payments.
Where is the best place to park my car at the V&A Waterfront?
We suggest you park at the Clock Tower parking and walk across the swing bridge. The Mirage is docked directly on your right hand side as you come over the bridge.
Is lunch or dinner served onboard Mirage?
Light snacks and gourmet cheese boards are available to purchase onboard, each crafted to enhance your journey with us.
Are you wheelchair friendly?
Yes the Mirage is accessible with a wheelchair, however the restrooms below deck are not wheelchair friendly.
Are babies & children allowed on the Mirage?
Yes babies and children of all ages are welcome and will be supplied with a life jacket.
Can we bring our own champagne and other beverages onboard?
We are fully licenced and offer a full service bar with a variety of beverages that can be purchased onboard.
Do you offer birthday specials/paying half price?
We don’t offer discounted rates, but please do let us know you are celebrating a special occasion, and our crew will do their utmost to make a memorable occasion onboard the Mirage.
Do you have toilets/ restrooms onboard?
We have 3 beautiful restrooms onboard the Mirage.
Do we sail in strong winds?
We are the largest Catamaran in Cape Town and the Mirage is equipped to sail on most occasions. Should we have to reschedule you will be notified via email. Our guest’s safety is of utmost importance and we always ensure safety first.
I suffer from sea sickness, do you offer seasick/ anti nausea tablets?
We don’t stock any medication onboard and therefore suggest you take anti nausea medication at least 1 hour prior to boarding.
What happens if the weather is cold outside and it's raining?
We have soft and cosy blankets onboard to keep you snug and warm and our lower deck is enclosed with frameless glass to protect you from the rain.
What does the Mirage look like?
The Mirage is the largest and most luxurious catamaran in the V&A Waterfront, with dual decks, ample seating and a relaxing trampoline to relax on whilst enjoying your sail. Click here to view gallery.
