FAQ

Absolutely, we have an easy and seamless online booking system whereby you can purchase your tickets prior to your sail. www.miragecatamaran.com.
Select the date, select day sail or sunset sail. Add our tickets to the cart and checkout. Follow the easy steps to payment and your tickets will be emailed to you. Please bring your tickets on the day for boarding.

Our online calendar opens up 1 month in advance. Please check the calendar on our website for upcoming availability.

We are docked in the V&A Waterfront near to the swing bridge, clocktower side of the Waterfront. Click here to view walking directions.

Our traditional sail takes us along the coastline towards Mouille Point and back again to the harbour.

Our traditional sail takes us along the coastline towards Mouille Point and back again. The day sails are a 1 hour trip and the sunset sail is 1h30 minutes.

Yes you can head to our ticket stand situated directly in front of the Mirage and you can book and pay via credit/ debit card to purchase your tickets.

Boarding will begin 30 minutes prior to the departure time. Please arrive timeously to allow for boarding.

Please contact our office on info@miragecatamaran.com and we will offer an alternative date/ time subject to availability and at our discretion.

The Mirage is a cashless venue, we accept credit/ debit card or Snapscan payments.

We suggest you park at the Clock Tower parking and walk across the swing bridge. The Mirage is docked directly on your right hand side as you come over the bridge.

Light snacks and gourmet cheese boards are available to purchase onboard, each crafted to enhance your journey with us.

Yes the Mirage is accessible with a wheelchair, however the restrooms below deck are not wheelchair friendly.

Yes babies and children of all ages are welcome and will be supplied with a life jacket.

We are fully licenced and offer a full service bar with a variety of beverages that can be purchased onboard.

We don’t offer discounted rates, but please do let us know you are celebrating a special occasion, and our crew will do their utmost to make a memorable occasion onboard the Mirage.

We have 3 beautiful restrooms onboard the Mirage.

We are the largest Catamaran in Cape Town and the Mirage is equipped to sail on most occasions. Should we have to reschedule you will be notified via email. Our guest’s safety is of utmost importance and we always ensure safety first.

We don’t stock any medication onboard and therefore suggest you take anti nausea medication at least 1 hour prior to boarding.

We have soft and cosy blankets onboard to keep you snug and warm and our lower deck is enclosed with frameless glass to protect you from the rain.

A full safety briefing will be given by our experienced crew members before we start sailing.

We serve delicious coffees, hot chocolate and tea onbaord.

Our maximum capacity is 120 guests.

We often have wonderful sightings of the sea life but this is never guaranteed.

We don’t have our own Jetskis’s but can certainly point you in the right direction to the expertise that hire them out.

The CHARTER COMPANY, Mirage agrees to keep the yacht fully insured against fire, marine risks, collision risks and indemnity coverage for the full term of the charter period. The CHARTER COMPANY shall not be held responsible for loss or damage to personal property or for any injury suffered by the CHARTERER, or any member of its party during the term of this charter, regardless of whether any such loss or injury occurs on board the yacht or elsewhere.
